Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ZeroTalentSongs (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit zerotalentsongs.com or order a personalized song, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at support@zerotalentsongs.com.
What we collect
When you order a song, we collect:
- Your email address — so we can deliver your song and send order updates.
- Your questionnaire answers — including the recipient's name, the occasion, the mood or genre, freetext memories you share, a special phrase, and any artist or song titles you mention as inspiration.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment processor (Tranzila). We do not see or store your full card number. We do receive confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card.
- Order metadata — timestamps, the status of your song (e.g. “in progress,” “delivered”), and any upsells you purchased.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited, collected through standard web analytics.
- Communications — any communication you have with us, including any information you provide when you contact us (for example, customer-support inquiries).
We do not ask for your home address, phone number, date of birth, or government ID.
Information we capture as you move through the order flow
We want to be upfront about this: we record your progress through our order flow even before you complete a purchase. As you answer the questionnaire and move toward checkout, we save a working copy of what you've entered so far — tied to a randomly generated session identifier for your visit — so that we can pick up where you left off and so we understand where people get stuck. Specifically, we may capture:
- Your questionnaire answers and your email, as you enter them — even if you do not finish checking out.
- The occasion and the recipient's name, pulled from your answers, so we can tailor any follow-up.
- How far you got — the furthest step you reached in the flow — and, if a payment was attempted and failed, the reason it failed.
- How you found us — marketing attribution such as the source, medium, campaign, term, and content of the ad or link you arrived through (for example, UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers like
gclid, fbclid, andttclid), and the web address that referred you to us. - Basic device and approximate location data — derived from your browser and your IP address (for example, the country or region you appear to be in). We do not use this to pinpoint your exact location.
We use this information to:
- Measure how our site and ads convert visitors into orders, so we can spend our marketing budget sensibly.
- Understand where people abandon the order flow, so we can fix the rough spots.
- Reach out to people who started an order but didn't finish (win-back), and show relevant advertising to past visitors (remarketing).
We don't keep this funnel data forever — it is retained on a time-bounded basis and then cleared. The advertising and remarketing uses above depend on the advertising and analytics cookies described in “Advertising and analytics” below; you control those through the cookie choice we offer and your browser and device settings. Turning them off does not affect your order or its delivery. If you'd like us to delete a partial order you started but never completed, email us and we'll remove it.
What you share about other people
The questionnaire asks about the person receiving the song. By submitting their name, stories, or a special phrase, you confirm that you have a reasonable basis to share that information with us for the purpose of creating their gift. We treat that information with the same care as your own.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Generate your song using AI tools (see “Who we share data with” below).
- Deliver your song and send you order confirmations and status updates.
- Provide customer support and process refunds.
- Improve our service — for example, reviewing failed generations to fix bugs.
- Show you relevant advertising and measure how well our ads work.
- Comply with our legal obligations and prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share data with
To deliver your song and run our business, we rely on third-party service providers. They process your data only to perform their service for us, and only as needed to do so. We share data with the following categories of providers:
- AI text and lyrics provider — converts your questionnaire answers into lyrics and a music prompt.
- AI music-generation provider — generates the audio track from the lyrics and prompt.
- Cloud hosting and file storage — hosts our website and stores order files, including the finished song.
- Database hosting — stores order records.
- Transactional email — sends order confirmations, delivery emails, and other service messages.
- Payment processing — handles your payment securely.
- Advertising and analytics partners — help us measure how our site and ads perform and show relevant advertising.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We pick providers we believe handle data responsibly, but we encourage you to review their policies if you want the full picture. If you would like to know the specific providers we currently use, email us at support@zerotalentsongs.com.
We may also disclose information if required by law, by a valid court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ZeroTalentSongs, our customers, or the public.
Advertising and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and device identifiers) for advertising and analytics — to measure how well our site and ads perform, understand how people use our site, and show you relevant advertising on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. We may add, replace, or remove advertising and analytics tools over time as our needs change, and this section is intended to cover those tools as well.
You can opt out of non-essential cookies at any time using your browser settings or your device's “Do Not Track” / “Limit Ad Tracking” controls, and you can manage ad personalization directly on the advertising platforms (for example, Facebook and Instagram ad preferences). Disabling these cookies will not affect your order or its delivery.
How long we keep your data
- Order records and questionnaire answers: 7 years from the date of purchase, to honor refund requests, support warranty claims, and meet tax obligations.
- Audit logs of the song generation pipeline: 2 years.
- Email lists for marketing: until you unsubscribe.
- Web analytics data: per the default retention of each analytics provider (typically 14 to 26 months).
If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will honor that request unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You can email us at support@zerotalentsongs.com to:
- Get a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's wrong.
- Delete your account and the data associated with it.
- Export your data in a common format.
- Object to certain uses, like marketing.
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you have these rights under GDPR. If you are in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
ZeroTalentSongs is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS across our site, store data with reputable cloud providers, and limit access to customer data to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
International transfers
Because we use service providers in the US, EU, and elsewhere, your data may be transferred and processed outside your country. We rely on standard data-protection mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards) when data crosses borders.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we'll let you know by email or a notice on the site.
